ShiftHappens is an AI-assisted shift scheduling tool. It runs entirely in your browser — we have no user accounts, no login, and no database storing your data.
All your workspace data — people, jobs, shifts, schedules, and constraints — is stored in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Share or Generate features described below.
When you click Generate, your schedule data (people names, jobs, shift slots, and constraints) is sent to the Anthropic API to produce a draft schedule. This data is processed by Anthropic under their privacy policy. We minimize identifying information in our observability traces by replacing names with generic labels before sending them to our tracing backend.
When you share a schedule, a snapshot is stored in our Redis instance hosted on Hetzner (Frankfurt, Germany). Share links expire automatically after 14 days. You can stop sharing at any time.
Requests pass through Cloudflare, which may see your IP address and user agent for security purposes. We do not use analytics cookies or tracking scripts. We do not collect email addresses or personal identifiers.
If you enable Google Drive backup, your workspace data is stored in your own Google Drive appDataFolder. We do not have access to your Google Drive contents. OAuth tokens are stored only in your browser.
Since we don't store your data on our servers (except temporary share links), you are in full control. Clear your browser data to delete everything. For share link removal, contact us.
